GAY CITY BOWLERS Photography Policy - 8th March 2025
For the purposes of this policy ‘the Organisation’ means Gay City Bowlers CIC (GCB), and the term ‘Volunteer’ refers to GCB Hosts.
This policy will be reviewed bi-annually, but we reserve the right to amend this policy at any time.
The Purpose and Scope

This policy statement applies to all employees, volunteers and those associated with Gay City Bowlers CIC.
Photography and Filming for GCB Use:
GCB can (and does regularly) photograph and video social and other events for use in promotional communications across social media and other media, both internally to members and externally to stakeholders, sponsors, customers and members and in print within GCB advertising or promotional materials.
By attending our events and socials, or by playing in an organised event, participants and members agree to GCB using the images, voice recordings, likeness or otherwise for the use of including but not limited to the purposes detailed above, without remuneration, in perpetuity.
If an individual notifies us that they would prefer not to feature within these materials we will do everything we can to ensure we respect that request, however, we cannot guarantee that an image or likeness will not appear within imagery or footage taken at public events such as Pride Marches, social events or otherwise.
Withdrawal of Consent:
Where a participant or member does not wish to be featured, they should ensure they do not allow themselves to be photographed in such pre-arranged activities such as team photos for example, and should inform the GCB host of their wishes and if necessary, contact gcbhq@gaycitybowlers.com to ensure photos are not used.
